Personal effectiveness can help you create authentic change. You know how challenging it is to simply say you are going to change a lifestyle habit and then wind up doing nothing, even though you know by making this change your life would be better. Thinking about changing is the first step to identifying what you really want to be doing. Simply identifying and being aware of what you want to do is not enough. Here is a list of things that will help you create change. You too can become more personally effective in your professional world as well as in your relationships and life at home.
Sustainable lifestyle changes can happen. Steps that can help you create sustainable
change are: 1.) name something you want to change, it must be something that if change it would transform your life and is considered to be a 5 on a scale of 1-5; 2.) create a list of things you currently do or don't do that prevents you from changing; 3.) identify what you worry about and assume will happen if you change...describe your fear; 4.) state what you are commited to protecting within your self; 5.) name one thing (a behavior or action) you will safely do to discover a new outcome if you try something different; 6.) describe what progress and ultimately success will look like. Let me know what success you have. Does identifying your worries help you see what your hidden commitment is?
