You can develop the four wise passions which will create a foundation for personal effectiveness. Dr. David Gruder in his book,
The New IQ, introduces and describes the Seven Wise Passions, four of which provide the foundation for development of your personal effectiveness. The four Wise Passions are:
1. Teachability: being willing to be receptive to life wake-up calls and honoring them with responsibility and humility;
2. Self-Care: being able to maintain your life energy, honoring and caring for who you are.... authentically;
3. Discernment: being able to recognize and use information/data wisely... from sources beyond your own realm of thinking... identifying truths, half-truths and lies; and
4. Harvesting: being able to find unexpected gifts from unasked for or undesirable life experiences. These are the cornerstones of personal effectiveness. David Gruder states, "All Wise Passions build on the ones that come before, and all Wise Passions are equally important." At any moment in your life you can choose to upgrade any Wise Passion.
