Do you have personally effective healthcare providers that role model healthy habits?  Dr. Edward M. Phillips, M.D., serves as the director of Outpatient Medical Services, at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, is an assistant professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Harvard Medical School, and serves as the director of the Institute of Lifestyle Medicine. He also is a task force member of ACSM's Exercise is MedicineTM and a co-author with Steven Jonas, M.D., of ACSM's Exercise is MedicineTM: A Clinician's Guide to Exercise Prescription. Dr. Phillips hosted the conference Active Doctors, Active Patients last weekend in Boston, MA.  What a success it was! Healthcare professionals from the United States, Australia, Canada and Europe came together to learn and support healthy habits of daily exercise, managing stress and eating well can improve bottom line results for your health and healthcare costs.
